Pamela Mosher is a poet and short fiction writer who grew up in a small village (comprised mostly of her relatives) in rural Nova Scotia. Much of her writing draws on her experience living in a remote community.
Pamela has a degree in Literature but when that didn't immediately lead to a well-paying job, she also got a certificate in technical writing. After living in Halifax for what felt like a couple dozen years, but was more like 6, she moved to Ottawa, where she is now settled with her wife and children.
Pamela has won Contemporary Verse 2's Young Buck Poetry Prize and been a finalist for the Ralph Gustafson Prize for Poetry, and honourable mention for the Diana Brebner Prize. Her work has been published in many lit. journals and in Best Canadian Poetry.
When not thinking about poetry, Pamela can be found on her bicycle, in her garden, or sharing craft beer with friends.
